Despite all going off in separate directions after private school, my small group of friends have started reuniting as we’ve slowly moved back to our hometown a single by a single.

But the big thing that always bound us was marijuana. The two of us were a small group of close friends that would go on short hiking trips on weekends or while in breaks from school where we’d smoke joints and pipes. Even though we all work in weird industries, we all still smoke cannabis. The two of us might still be united in this regard, however we have all formed our own opinions on favorite strains and preferred routes of administration. I’m fairly easy—I still smoke and vaporize cannabis flowers more than anything else. My youngest associate prefers buying expensive cannabis oils and concentrates because he’s a doctor and he can afford them. A weird associate prefers eating cannabis edibles while another enjoys using transdermal patches that have a ratio of THC and the CBD combined. The two of us all may have our preferences when we’re residing in our separate lives, however we all still stick to joints or blunts whenever we come together to chill out and catch up. The only difference is now we all smoke our own separate joints when we get together instead of sharing a single joint. That was a change we made after mulling over strong concerns of catching the virus. The two of us also have our meetings outdoors in someone’s private backyard at least sixfeet apart. This way we can care about each other’s company without needing to expose each other to the virus if someone is sick and doesn’t realize it.
