The new marijuana laws

My wife and I have been fighting a lot lately, even more so than usual. To put it into context, we have always been a very passionate couple, prone to huge fights and even huger make-up sessions. People don’t believe us when we say we have been together for ten years, because they assume whenever we argue that we really hate each other. I really don’t care what people think, as long as by the end of the day the wife and I are still together.  I don’t believe this is the end of our marriage by any means, but I surprised at how long we have been fighting. I am more confused by her adamant opposition to recreational marijuana. This is a woman who voted more than once to legalize medical marijuana use in our state, and yet that is apparently where she draws the line. I had no idea she felt so strongly about recreational cannabis until a few nights ago when she came home and found me smoking a joint. It was a gift from a friend of mine who had a prescription for medical marijuana, and since I hadn’t smoked in a while it was really nice. My wife came home, smelled the marijuana smoke in the air, and proceeded to go ballistic on me for breaking the law. I asked her if there was a problem with cannabis itself, or merely the fact it was illegal. Her position was that cannabis is a drug, and should only be used medicinally and not just for kicks.
