I never earned my college degree, despite the fact that I learned a lot about biology while in the many years that I studied.
Biology and Chemistry were always my favorite subjects, but during my senior year, my aunt got sick and died and I never finished.
Eventually, I found a job working in a pharmaceutical lab, and I stayed there for nearly nine years… When the lab was purchased by a hospital, they only kept the staff with a bachelor’s degree or higher. I was sitting around on unemployment for many months, before I found anything at all, and luckily, my new job has been fantastic. I was hired by a medical marijuana research facility, they perform many different types of research on medical marijuana and its effects.. I am currently finally working in a lab that is testing the effects of marijuana on dementia patients. It’s a really fun job, and I learn something brand new everyday. I also meet really cool patients. When I applied for the job at the medical marijuana research facility, I really didn’t expect to be hired at all. After all, I am really nothing more than a college dropout with one job on my resume. Luckily, they saw something that I didn’t. I make a very nice salary, and I also have vacation days, medical benefits, and a retirement plan. I like going to work every day, and my coworkers do not care if I graduated with a degree or not. Everyone seems to be excited to work in the research. I would be happy to make this site my home. I could really see myself retiring from this lab one day.
