Accessing cannabis to treat chronic pain hasn’t been easy

Two years ago, I was involved in a hit & run accident.

I was struck and the driver took off.

I was left injured. Not only was my car smashed beyond repair, so was my body. My back, neck & shoulders tend to flair up with pain. I have tried all sorts of remedies to help alleviate the chronic pain. I went to a doctor, chiropractor and even a massage therapist. I tried yoga, went for runs & ate vitamins. Nothing has made any difference to the pain. The worst issue is getting out of bed in the morning. Some mornings, I can barely get to me feet I am so stiff. It doesn’t matter if I stretch right away. I started researching online & I discovered that cannabis is used to treat chronic pain. Included in the chemical makeup of the marijuana plant is cannabinoids. This component of the pot plant has been proven to lessen pain when taken. I am not too hopeful, but I am willing to try anything. The difficulty has been getting access to the cannabis. My state has legalized cannabis for medical marijuana purposes. I visited a medical marijuana dispensary & learned that I didn’t have the right paperlabor to get the product. Turns out I can’t just explain the extent of my pain & get a prescription. I have visited the doctor several times. I finally have convinced him to write a prescription for medical mairjuana. There is still more paperwork after this. Even now, I still need to meet with a budtender at the dispensary & they will help me to decide which product is best for me.
