When I was applying to work at the recreational cannabis dispensary in town, I was required to do cannabis courses.
I did multiple in person courses at a facility.
I did cannabis products training, marijuana math training plus dispensary courses, and after all that was done, I was hired as a budtender at the dispensary. A large area of toiling in a dispensary is selling the right product to the customer, then every one of us are a company too plus products need to transfer off the shelves. It quickly became clear that selling did not come natural to me, then my boss tried to encourage plus supply me tips on how to sell; The whole experience was frustratedting plus I thought about quitting my job. Thankfully I had a brain blast. I contacted the facility that I did my previous training at. They had marijuana sales training available for me to take. I immediately signed up for the class plus went as much as they would let me. The class was seriously helpful. I l earned good tips plus did pretend situations where I could practice my sales pitch. None of my educators were my boss so I did not get as nervous. I was able to fail with no repercussions. After the sales training was complete, I felt so much better at work. I am still not the best salesman in the store, however I am able to help customers find what they need. The class legitimately was a lifesaver for me. I no longer am scared to pitch to a customer now.
