As a kid, our dad was both a single father plus a long range truck driver; however, oftentimes I would stay with our aunt plus her kids, but a few times a year I had to go with him.
But both of us would drive all day plus all night, across the country, just talking plus listening to music.
It wasn’t exactly exciting, but those are enjoyable memories for me, plus explains why I enjoy driving so much to this day. I will put on songs, zone out, and I simply drive for hours. Being the midnight delivery guy for the cannabis dispensary is entirely the perfect task for me, combining all of my inner passions at once; then although I do enjoy the scent of fresh marijuana, I really never touch the stuff. I used to, back in university, but these afternoons too much cannabis might trigger an LSD flashback, so I just stick with beer plus CBD oil; my enjoyment of the task has nothing to do with using cannabis, it’s because the dispensary is a chill venue to work… Plus most of our purchasers are legitimately nice people. As you might expect, this isn’t a high pressure gig, so I can relax plus enjoy the nighttime driving while I make our ongoing cannabis deliveries. I am the night guy, from 9pm through till 3am, which is our cutoff for any cannabis deliveries. I crank up the beatbox, roll down the windows, plus make our delivery shift a venue of inner peace and solitude. Along the way I stop plus drop off cannabis to a series of interesting plus kind people.
