My last job fired me for marijuana use

I went to technical school after high school was over.

I knew I wasn’t going to spend four years in college.

There wasn’t any college career interesting enough to make me want to spend four more years in school. The technical school offered a couple of different programs and I decided to choose a career in heating and plumbing. I meant 10 months learning everything I could about the career and then I started working at a small repair shop. When I was hired to work at the heating and plumbing repair shop, I had to take a drug test for marijuana, cocaine, and heroin. I wasn’t using any drugs at that time, so I didn’t have to worry about passing the test. Since I started working for the company five years ago, marijuana has been legalized for recreational and medical use. Still it is against the rules to use marijuana and work for this specific company. When I was in a vehicle accident in the company truck, I had to go to the hospital and have a drug test. I tested positive for marijuana and I got fired the next day. The company refused to pay for my medical bills, since I could not prove that I wasn’t under the influence of marijuana at the time of the accident. I tried to find a lawyer to help me get my job back, but the lawyer advised me to find a job with another company that won’t care about marijuana use. It was going to cost a fortune to sue the plumbing company and it wasn’t worth my time.
