When it’s cold outside, I don’t enjoy going to the beach nearly as much.
It’s usually really windy and uncomfortable for long periods of time if the wind chill is too intense. And when the wind is so cold, the water is naturally going to be cold as well. If you’re visiting the ocean for the first time and you’re from up north, I can imagine wanting to brave the rough conditions at the beach even if the weather isn’t right. For locals like myself, we often wait to attend the beach on days when it’s sunny, warm, and not too windy outside. If the weather is really nice outside, I’ll spend the entire afternoon at the beach with a full lunch packed in our cooler. In the past I would get overheated at the beach after a few hours of being in the sun and I would rush home to cool off with the air conditioner. Unless I had the a/c running while I was gone at the beach, I would return to a warm home and would need to give the air conditioner time to drop the temperature inside. Now that I have a smart thermostat to control my HVAC system remotely wherever I have a phone signal, these problems are a thing of the past. I can set my a/c to turn on within an hour of me returning home as long as I make a quick adjustment with the HVAC thermostat app on my phone. It couldn’t be easier to control the HVAC system, especially if you’re away at work or on trips for one reason or another.
