My mom and dad got divorced when our sister and I were teenagers! My mom was single for a long time, but our dad remarried instantly at the time.
My Mom hated the fact that our dad married a woman that was only a couple of years older than me.
She also hated the fact that it was his secretary! I know she believed that our father was cheating even though he swore that the relationship did not start until long after their relationship was finally over and ended. It took a while for our mom to start dating again and when she did, she went through a couple of duds. She didn’t ever date anyone that was a wonderful guy until she met Frank. My mom dated Frank for 2 years and then she decided to start talking to our dad again and that led to Nowhere good. My sister and I tried to tell our mom that she was crazy, but our Mom saw the same guy that she married when she was 20 and she thought that he had changed, then of course the guy had not really changed. My mom and him ended up getting into a fight and their reconciliation lasted approximately 6 weeks… After that our mom started dating an unusual guy and she is still with that guy now. The guy is the manager of a recreational and medical marijuana dispensary. The guy is the same age as I am and he rides a scooter to the marijuana shop. My mom thought our dad was going through a midlife crisis, but she doesn’t look honestly stable dating a medical marijuana employee still living at their home.
