Ever since my brother’s and I were young, my mom has always told us that drugs are bad and we should not smoke marijuana. We had to watch some informational videos about the dangers of smoking marijuana. My mom was even on the campaign for moms against drugs. Even though marijuana is legal for medical reasons, my mom still said that it was still bad. When my mom and dad got a divorce, my mom asked us lots of questions about my dad. She wanted to know if he was dating other women or if he was doing drugs. She told my brother and I that we should be careful and watch out for odd behavior. My mom seemed okay for a couple of years and she stopped being paranoid about my dad. She didn’t even talk about drugs or divorce stuff and we were happy. Then she started dating a new guy named Frank and it seems like everything has changed. Frank works at a medical and recreational marijuana dispensary. The guy talks about marijuana like it is beer or cigarettes. It is not a big deal to this guy. I told my dad about Frank and he didn’t seem to think it was a big deal. This week I think I saw my mom and Frank outside smoking marijuana. I smelled something really strange and weird and it smelled exactly like a skunk. I’ve heard that is what marijuana smells like. If my mom and Frank were smoking, then I am going to tell my brother so we can go and live with my dad.
