When I left for work the other day, my poor puppy was limping all over.
It was all he could do to get up off his bed to go outside. He had been getting progressively worse over the last month and I felt really bad, knowing how much pain he was in. I had taken him to the vet but they told me there wasn’t anything to do but to keep him comfortable. His hips were giving out and he only had so much time before we would need to put him down. I have no idea why they would say something like that because he was a member of the family. We tried chondroitin and any other medicine we could think of to make him comfortable. We had him on several different painkillers, but he just wasn’t responding. I saw on ad the other day that was saying how they were now giving CBD to dogs, for pain. I knew they gave CBD to people for pain, so why couldn’t I give it to my dog. I talked to the people at the cannabis dispensary and asked them what they thought. The young man at the counter told me that there were some special CBD tablets that I could give to him. He told me that CBD may help better chondroitin or even pain pills. I took the CBD tablets home and gave him one with his dinner. Within a couple days, I began to notice a big difference in the way he was acting. The CBD seemed to draw some of the old puppy out of him.
