A new legal cannabis store just opened up a street over from my house.
I know they were all kinds of petitions to try to keep it from opening up in this nice town. I suppose the petitions failed because here the store sits. Honestly, I do not mind the legal cannabis store being around. I refused to sign the petitions when my buddies came to my door and asked for my signature. I know this irritated them a little bit. Ever since I refused to sign the paper, I’ve been getting some bad looks from some of my neighbors. I suppose word got around that I am a pothead or druggie. I will admit, I do partake in legal cannabis from time to time. I used to have to drive about 20 min away to get my legal cannabis. Now, I can just bike to the store, and of course, I can see my neighbors watching me when I do this. I do not care. I’m too old to care. Besides, I’ve seen a few of my friends in the cannabis store. They look away when they see me, but I do not know what everyone is so worried about. Cannabis is legal now. This new store is really nice too. They have all sorts of marijuana items to try out. You can even order the products online and they will take them out to your car for you. I’ve seen a few of my buddies doing that too. I know they are embarrassed to be seen in the store. It does not matter to me. I find it funny. I’m making a mental note of who I see.
