I learned everything I suppose about making a garden and caring for plants from this older lady Anna. She was your typical Grandma, always wearing a necklace of pearls in a dress, typically cheerful to see me, typically with a clean home and a fridge full of yummy things. Anna liked to spend most of her free time in the garden. She was such a happy and sweet woman as compared to her husband who was stern and sour looking all the time. Very recently, Anna showed me a new, hidden section of the garden I had never seen before, a single filled with cannabis plants. Suddenly it all became clear to me why she was so excited all the time, and why she was outside so often, it was because he was smoking marijuana every day! I was quite blown away to learn that not only did Anna grow marijuana, not only did she smoke it, not only did he sell it to other members of her sewing crew, but that he had been doing it longer than I had been alive! She told me she started growing cannabis when her children were still in diapers. My whole life there have been amazing, pretty cannabis plants hidden behind Anna’s home and I had never known it! I examined one of the cannabis plants, and saw heavy buds laden with crystals, and it made my mouth start watering! She clipped a few juicy buds into a tote for me to take back home with me, because she didn’t want me smoking marijuana before driving. Spending time in Anna’s garden just got a heck of a lot more interesting.
