There are still local weed laws

It is funny that people from medical weed states think nothing about recreational cannabis laws.

  • I think it is because everything in their state is so tightly regulated that they think it is like the wild west in my area.

Medical marijuana only states require quite a bit of time, effort and money in order to obtain cannabis. You need to actually want it and be willing to put in the work. My acquaintance in the next state over has to do a medical professional’s appointment, fill out papers, pay a fee and renew his card on a yearly basis. I can just walk into the cannabis dispensary near me and option up what I want. There are restrictions though. I think the medical weed people don’t realize that. I can’t just walk into a cannabis dispensary and grab whatever I want off the shelves. The limits are clear and you will get chop off. You are tracked by your driver’s license too! So it is not like I can go back tomorrow or go to another marijuana dispensary. I only get what I am allowed. Second, I can’t just smoke on the premises, however cannabis can’t be consumed outside of the cabin unless you are in a dedicated smoker’s lounge or dab bar. Other than that, no free samples are given out and nobody is smoking around the store. Lastly, you can’t just grab the cannabis and go. It needs to be locked in the trunk of a car. Nobody can just stuff a joint in their pocket and walk home. It does not work that way.
