We end up really connecting, laughing and feeling lucky that we have each other
So my wife and I have been taking date night to an entirely more enjoyable level for the last year and a half. Recreational marijuana has been legal here for nearly two years. And since then, a trip to the cannabis dispensary prior to date night always happens now. It all started on a whim when my parents came to visit and then took the kids camping for a few days. Since recreational marijuana was legal, my wife and I thought we’d give it a go since there weren’t any kids in the house. We had enjoyed recreational marijuana a bit in college. But since we had kids and intense careers, we sort of stopped altogether. That also had to do with the supply issue and it was illegal. We did however institute a date night rule once every two weeks. Once we enjoyed some blue dream that weekend without the kids, we started incorporating a trip to the cannabis dispensary prior to date night. It’s blast to split and edible and catch a taxi to a restaurant while our folks watch the kids. Or even just staying home for date night and cooking together is fun thanks to our sativa edibles. We both work really hard and long hours doing what we do. Then, we want to spend all of our off time with the kids. By the time 9 at night rolls around, I’m exhausted and just want to crash as does my wife. So having fun with some recreational marijuana on date night is just the best. We end up really connecting, laughing and feeling lucky that we have each other. That’s really cool and really essential.
