Had it been 6 or 7 years ago, I actually would have added our voice to the setback reaction to having recreational marijuana be legal.
And I actually would have been absolutely exasperated that a modern marijuana business was coming to our town.
But that was when I was still so ignorant when it came to the truth about cannabis. I’d been raised in this neighborhood when it was far smaller and much more close minded; So I believed all the lies and misinformation when it came to cannabis. I carried those messed up beliefs about marijuana all the way through our adult life as well. When medical marijuana was first legalized, I was mad and against it. I was sure that this would lead to some sort of societal collapse. And then, I saw just how important medical marijuana certainly was to a buddy of mine who used cannabis while in cancer treatment. That changed everything for me and I began to start researching cannabis products for myself. I’m so glad I did because I l gained so much about the benefits of this natural wonder. I was amazed to see that humans have used marijuana for more than four thoUSnd years to help manage and cure conditions. So when recreational marijuana was on the ballot, I voted for it. I’m also absolutely ecstatic to welcome the first marijuana business to town. I’ve completely changed our views on recreational marijuana because now, I think the truth about cannabis. The truth about marijuana is that it has profound benefits that, while odd for each person, bring satisfaction and relief to so many. I’ve even gone so far as to go into the local cannabis spot! Perhaps on our next visit I’ll try some orange cannabis to see for myself.
