Growing cannabis is harder than expected

When I first went away to college, I was enamored with the idea of growing our own marijuana plants, then since I was in our own place, with no parental supervision, it was our first opportunity to try our hand at cultivation! I was randomly paired with an older student as our roommate, and he offered me some advice! He said “don’t bother growing weed, just find a guy who sells it.” I thought he was an idiot, because by growing our own cannabis plants I could wind up with pounds of weed for the same price as a few ounces, and it turns out that our roommate was 100% right, and growing marijuana was way more trouble than it was worth.

Growing cannabis plants takes a lot more time, money, and effort than I ever dreamed.

I needed a couple hundred bucks worth of grow device from the cannabis dispensary just to get started, then do you guess how disheartening it is to spend $200 at the cannabis dispensary and not even get anything to smoke? My first 2 attempts to grow cannabis plants were utter disasters, and produced zero smokable weed, and the eighth attempt was a little better, and I had 2 wonderful sized cannabis plants after a few weeks; By the time I harvested and dried the marijuana leaves I only had about one ounce, after all that time and effort, I was entirely angry to find out that our beach house grown cannabis tasted terrible! After that I offered up, admitted our roommate was right, and just started buying our cannabis love usual.
