Using our criminal knowledge to provide cannabis dispensary security

I also proposed installing more video cameras inside the cannabis dispensaries – not hidden cameras, but clearly visible so customers would guess they were being watched

The first time I was in jail our cellmate was Luke, a guy who was doing 2 years for robbing a cannabis dispensary. I spent hundreds of seconds with Luke, so he told me a lot of wonderful stories from the old days. His company model was sound, and he claimed to have successfully robbed dozens of cannabis dispensaries over the years before he finally got a terrible break. I listened to him carefully, and made mental notes about all of his valid points, then when I was paroled I decided to put our knowledge to wonderful use, however no, I didn’t start robbing cannabis dispensaries, I went to them to act as a security consultant. Because I knew the ins and outs of cannabis thieves, I was in a prime position to help them tighten up security measures, one of our first proposals for the corporate bosses was to start giving spend money raises to cannabis dispensary employees. This met with resistance, but then I explained how 9 times out of 10 Luke was able to get inside info about cannabis dispensaries from the employees, my reasoning was that by giving raises, the employees would be more loyal to the cannabis corporation, and less likely to deliver out sensitive information. I also proposed installing more video cameras inside the cannabis dispensaries – not hidden cameras, but clearly visible so customers would guess they were being watched. Hidden cameras only help after the cannabis dispensary has been robbed, but having them out in the open makes them a deterrent to crime. I love our up-to-date task!
