Once each week, all of my friends and I go out to the bar to drink and watch sports.
Each week a different person is the designated driver.
It was important to have one person designated to be the driver so everyone else could have a good time. There are no services like lyft or Uber in an area like this. We are at least 45 minutes from the closest city and there are no taxis or cab services either. Friday was my turn to be the designated person to make sure that everyone gets home fine. I borrowed my mom’s minivan so I could have room for everyone. We passed more people into that minivan than we should have, but we only had to drive one mile to the bar. To be honest, we could probably walk if there was a problem and all of us could drink. It’s just easier to have one person that doesn’t get drunk. When I am the designated driver, I use recreational cannabis products instead. I take a couple of gummies in the afternoon so my body is relaxed and stress-free. I buy a package of infused marijuana joints from the local dispensary. The local dispensary is 30 minutes away from my house, but they have a great selection of products and absolutely low prices. My friends piled into the van on Friday and we went to our favorite place to drink and watch the basketball game. Even though I didn’t drink, I still had a ton of fun. We got to watch our favorite team make the playoffs.
