I was in high school when I first start playing around with website development.
I knew there was a lot to learn, but I enjoyed taking a blank piece of paper and turning into a marketing machine and fact machine. My brother had recently taken a job as a manager in a cannabis dispensary. I asked him if a cannabis dispensary website was different than any other website? He shrugged and told me I was the website developing geek. He said you had different information, and needed to be aware of the laws pertaining to cannabis dispensaries. Once I knew what I could and could not do, he didn’t think it would be too difficult. Now that medical cannabis was legal, and many states were adopting law allowing for legal recreational marijuana, I thought specializing in cannabis dispensary websites could be lucrative. I took some online courses about cannabis dispensaries, and learned about many of the laws. I made sure to take all the required college courses for web development. I loved what I was doing and hoped to one day work for an online marketing or web development company, as a cannabis dispensary specialist. I was sure the country was going to need more people to special in cannabis dispensary websites, now that the amount of legal recreational marijuana dispensary states was growing. Two years later, I went to my brother and told him how much cannabis dispensary websites differed from other websites. I told him I was recently hired to be a specialist in cannabis dispensary web development, and gave him my business card for future reference.
