Retiring to a place where cannabis is legal

So like multiple people my age, I had my retirement date circled on my calendar.

I was for sure ready to hang my spurs up, so to speak.

I’ve been lucky to be able to have a work that started as a passion. Yet, that fire and passion waned a bit the older I became. The stress of the job began to outweigh the other stuff. I was all ready to be done & kick back with some cannabis legally. I’ve had an on again/ off again affair with recreational marijuana for more than 40 years. Recreational marijuana was quite abundant when I was in my 20’s. Still, it was illegal & I had to be unquestionably careful. A police bust for even simple cannabis possession back then could have a ton of repercussions. But I sure did love spending a sunny afternoon in the park with a frisbee, some pals & whatever sativa strain that might be on hand. Yet, it wasn’t as though my pals and I could simply go shopping for marijuana for sale the way my pal and I currently do. Instead, unless you personally knew a cannabis grower, you took whatever recreational marijuana was available. And you could forget about unquestionably knowing what the THC content is. I’ve had to be unquestionably discreet about my use of cannabis. But that’s all changed now. The first thing I did when I retired was to sell the house & transfer to a venue where I could get to know the folks at a local cannabis spot. I chose to retire where recreational marijuana is legal. And boy, it’s been so liberating to be able to just be tolerable about the benefits of sativa & indica strains instead of hiding it.
