Legal cannabis dispensaries have crippled my business

I don’t grow enough cannabis to become a supplier to the local dispensary, and I probably never will

They say that crime doesn’t pay, but I am not 100% sure that is true. I actually did pretty good for myself on the wrong side of the law, but I tell you there is more to it than the money. In terms of take-home pay, it was the best job I ever had no question. The thing is, the thing that law abiding citizens don’t understand, is that the worry takes a toll on you. I have money in my hand, but I’m always afraid the police will come through the door, which makes that money a little less sweet. The legalization of cannabis in this state tore the bottom out of my business, which sucked, but at least I can sleep easily now. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not altogether out of business, because only medical use of cannabis is legal for now. I still sell marijuana, I just make a lot less, but at least I can sleep easy because I don’t fear the law coming for me. They could come for me, of course, I am not a cannabis dispensary I am a guy with a marijuana greenhouse in his garage. I don’t grow enough cannabis to become a supplier to the local dispensary, and I probably never will. I still just sell bags of marijuana to college students, but my clients have dropped off en masse. The dispensaries have so many different strains of cannabis, not to mention the oils, the vape cartridges, edibles, and all that other stuff that I just can’t compete with.
