When my father was diagnosed with lung cancer, everybody in my family was shocked.
The man never smoked a day in his life and was the epitome of health.

His doctor finally pushed him and got him the right documentation to get medical marijuana. My father then had me take him to a medical marijuana facility. I am so thankful that the trip ended up a success. A medical marijuana dispensary is way more like a doctor’s office than a shop. There was a waiting room and an office that we sat in. The budtender recommending the different cannabis products was so knowledgeable. My father was very uneasy at first and saying our budtender was just a kid that did not know anything. The budtender was amazing and informed my father all about his cannabis education. Apparently for medical marijuana dispensaries, the budtenders undergo a lot of cannabis training. They take medical cannabis education, cannabis 101, budtender classes and cannabis science courses. Our budtender says that he is always doing a course. He likes to keep up to date and learn more about the product. Just for fun he will take a hemp or CBD course online to keep fresh. My father was way more at ease and listened to the budtender after that. It was such a relief that getting the prescription and cannabis was not a stressful thing for my father.
