Podcasting about cannabis

When I say famous I mean the name-brand strains and blends that are sold in cannabis dispensaries all across the country

I was podcasting long before it became a trend, before everyone and their mother had a podcast. I used to feel special, like I was on the cutting edge, but now I’m just another drop of water in the podcast sea. It is getting harder and harder to stand out, so I decided to switch up my show a little bit and try something new. If I was no longer growing, that meant I needed to shake things up and take a risk. Switching to a new show format might not pay off, but anything was better than stagnation. My show has always been about cannabis, because that is something I am very passionate about. My upgrade to the show has me smoking different “famous” kinds of marijuana live on the air and giving a review in real time. When I say famous I mean the name-brand strains and blends that are sold in cannabis dispensaries all across the country. Many major chains of cannabis dispensaries use the same vendors and growers, which means some kinds are available to tens of thousands of people. Every episode I select a different kind of cannabis, smoke it in a pipe and also in a joint, and discuss it as I go. Much to my delight, my cannabis reviews have started to move the needle and gain me some new listeners! Going forward, my only real future problem with making new episodes will come when I run out of different cannabis strains for me to review, but that will take quite some time!
