Medical cannabis was legalized with the change of language

When I was a young kid, plus when my kids were young kids, smoking pot was just that – smoking pot. The people who would use recreational marijuana were basically referred to as potheads or druggies or plain losers! Whether you referred to the activity as trying the Mary Jane, hitting the weed, smoking the ganja, or just smoking pot, the stigma was there all the time. When all the druggie potheads were talking about having legal marijuana stores all around, they were mocked for talking about that. Everyone realized, when they would say we should make their weed legal for medical uses, that they were just being foolish with their pothead ideas. Then, though, more sophisticated folks started enjoying the use of recreational marijuana, plus they insisted that the weed must have some sort of medicinal value. There began the change in language that has already resulted in legal medical cannabis use all over the place. If you have a medical condition such as MS or fibromyalgia or cancer, there is definitely no stigma at all when it comes to using medical marijuana. Those same smart people have stopped using the terminology “smoking weed,” plus have instead begun to call the act “using recreational marijuana.” This change in language has people bring up images of men in suits sitting at a conference table plus toking ever so easily on recreational marijuana. That is the exact opposite of the connotation of pulling on the brain cell killing weed, which makes me think of a ton of losers in tie-dyed shirts sitting around a dirty residing room getting blazed out of their minds. Smoking pot has a way better reputation now that people are referring to marijuana as medical marijuana plus smoking pot is just enjoying recreational marijuana.
