CBD and it’s affects

All of the therapeutic benefits of cannabis have been proven by dozens of scientific studies in addition to many personal success stories. Cannabis is now demonstrating effectiveness in treating everything from Alzheimer’s disease all the way to anxiety and cancerous tumors. The legalization of marijuana for medical purposes has now spread across more than half of the country. Concern, however, has been raised in some circles that regular use of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis, could potentially lead to psychological or cognitive troubles. Fortunately, cannabidiol (CBD) can provide a safeguard against the adverse side effects of THC.  CBD is a non-psychoactive compound found in cannabis, a recent school study verified that equal proportions of CBD and THC prevented the emergence of all behavioral side effects. Injections of THC were given to a group of adolescent white mice. A group of them were given only CBD. A second group of mice received equal dosage of both THC and CBD. The first group showed troubles in finally working memory in addition to increased anxiety. The other group demonstrated no cognitive changes. The second group, those that received the combination of THC in addition to CBD, also showed no signs of cognitive abnormalities at all. That CBD protects against adverse effects caused by THC is really great news for all of us. CBD is found in flowering marijuana and it’s really abundant, but it is a safe, natural, effective medicine and it offers successful treatment of neurological disorders. Natural strains of cannabis usually have really close ratios of THC and in CBD.  Over the years, the plant has been raised to have greater potency, diminishing the amount of CBD in it. But growers are now concentrating on CBD-rich strains of cannabis.
