I have a major addiction to chocolate chip cookies right now.
I think it started when I bought fresh cookies from a new bakery across town.
They were expensive, but I wanted to treat myself after having an operation at the hospital earlier in the day. When I got them home and took the package out of the bag, I had no clue what I was about to experience. I bit into the first cookie and my taste buds were overcome with a flood of sensory input—synapses in my brain were firing instantaneously as my thoughts slowly caught up. Wow, I thought to myself, that is not just the most delicious chocolate chip cookie I have ever had. It was also the best cookie of any kind I had ever had either. When they were finished a few days later, I tried buying chocolate chip cookies from the local grocery store’s bakery to no avail. Eventually I settled for a few boxes of Girl Scout cookies when I realized that I couldn’t find a better chocolate chip cookie. I was thinking about them because of the particular strain of cannabis I’m using right now. The last time I visited the cannabis dispensary, the budtender recommended the hybrid strain Girl Scout Cookies after I asked for something balanced. I have to admit, I think I like the marijuana strain as much as I like the real thing. And when I went to the cannabis dispensary yesterday, they even had real cookies with THC in them. I bought a few but I have to be careful or I’ll eat too many at once. I don’t want to be staring at the wall for five hours on a crazy dose of cannabis edibles.
